Art for Change: Curating for All

Liu Yang joined the preparation team of China’s first design-themed art museum, Hua Art Museum in 2008. She worked in Hua Art Museum and later OCAT Shenzhen Pavilion before she joined Times Museum.

In recent years, she curated various exhibitions in public spaces in Shenzhen and Guangzhou to promote creativity from art and design and encourage inter-disciplinary sharing and collaboration. Her latest project, the 5th Times Art Museum Community Art Festival Our Distance? (2020-2021, Guangzhou), focused on “Rebuilding Health, Integrity, Care, and Union”.

She also Initiated OCAT Shenzhen Pavilion and Hua Art Museum 2020 Special Public Project What Begins, What Is Ending series (online), D-TALK International Forum Vitality-Vitality of the Supernatural Generation (2019, Shenzhen Happy Coast), Youth Brawl (2016-2019, Shenzhen), With Boundary, But No Border Hua Art Museum Night (2016-2019, Shenzhen) and other projects.
