The Music Export Growth Scheme offers grants ranging from £5,000-£50,000 to UK-registered independent music companies to assist them with marketing campaigns when looking to introduce successful UK music projects overseas.
Applications are reviewed by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) and the Department for International Trade (DIT). Shortlisted applications are then considered by a panel of music industry experts, including representatives from the Music Managers Forum (MMF), the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC), the Association of Independent Music (AIM), representatives of independent record labels and the BPI.
Funding is not designed to support attendance at trade fairs or conventions (Midem, SXSW, CMJ, etc.) – as this is covered by the PRS for Music Foundation’s ‘International Showcase Fund’.
The scheme has four application deadlines each year.
