Are you fluent in Mandarin and adept at building relationships? Would you like to create and drive cultural partnerships between China and several of the world’s most prestigious museums?

The Science Museum Group has built several strong, productive international partnerships and has begun to establish similar networks in China as a key strategic priority. We now need some dedicated resource to step up the pace of progress.

The purpose of this new role is to help to ‘oil the wheels’ of the Science Museum Group’s developing relationships in China. You will provide coordination, support and advice to Science Museum colleagues and external stakeholders as we build greater brand awareness and deliver projects such as touring exhibitions, the China Science & Technology Exhibition and the National Railway Museum Great Hall redevelopment.

The post will, ideally, be based in London because you would be expected to maintain regular contact with colleagues and external bodies based in the capital. However, we can consider basing the post at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. You will deal with a wide range of people at all levels across the Group.
