London-based composer, producer and DJ Gabriel Prokofiev composes music that both embraces and challenges western classical traditions. As a grandson of renowned Classical composer Sergei Prokofiev, Gabriel is nevertheless unbound by the limit of music genre and experiments the possibilities of Classical music with notable attempts of DJ–Classical mixture. In this first Asian tour, Gabriel Prokofiev and Hong Kong young chamber orchestra perform his recent electronic compositions and a selection of classics, creating a dialogue between classical and contemporary music.

The Candle Thieves China Tour

Scott McEwan and The Glock will celebrate ten years of The Candle Thieves by kicking off a five-city (Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Zhengzhou and Beijing) tour for the newly released album “Before The War” in October, 2019. As a British band who has attained an expanding Chinese fan-base since 2013, The Candle Thieves returns to China once again.

Barry Douglas has established a major international career since winning the Gold Medal at the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition, the first non-Russian pianist to be honored with the award since Van Cliburn in 1958. As a soloist he has previously given concerts with the BBC Scottish Symphony, London Symphony, Russian National, Cincinnati Symphony, Staatskapelle, and Orchestre National de France, among others, and regularly plays in recitals throughout the world.

The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) will perform with Music Director Sir Simon Rattle and Grammy-winning pianist Emanuel Ax, on 27th September in Guangzhou at Xinghai Concert Hall. This will be the LSO's third appearance at Xinghai Concert Hall after their previous visit in 2007 and 2014. Programme includes Brahms’s Piano Concerto No.2 in B-flat major, Op.83 and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No.2 in E minor, Op.27
