Eternal Life: Exploring Ancient Egypt

Hong Kong Science Museum

Jointly organised by Hong Kong Science Museum and The British Museum, this exhibition introduces six Egyptian mummies from the British Museum who lived between 3,000 and 1,800 years ago. In addition, 200 objects and digital visualisations of the mummies demonstrates how non-invasive CT scans allow archaeologists and other specialists to determine the age and sex of the mummified bodies.

Following her successful showcase at the world-renowned Victoria and Albert Museum in London, British sculptor Rachel Kneebone is presenting new sculptures and drawings exploring themes of transformation and metamorphosis. Debuting for the first time in Hong Kong and China, Kneebone's exceptional porcelains sculptures are detailed, intricate and sensual, consists of architectural and geometric forms as well as body parts to examine constant shift between figuration and abstraction
